What in the World is happening?
Have you ever asked yourself the question, "What in the world is happening?" For example, consider the rapid technological advancements and their impact on society, or the increasing frequency of natural disasters that leave communities reeling. As there are changes in every sector of culture and in every corner of the world, how shall we live in such times as these? Wars and rumors of wars are no longer just rumors. Plagues world-wide, such as COVID-19, have affected almost every human on the planet,, disrupting daily routines, overwhelming healthcare systems, and reshaping economies and social interactions on a global scale. Fear has gripped the hearts and minds of many, driven by uncertainty and the rapid pace of change. For many, it is business as usual, as if nothing has changed-as if the new way of living in this world has become normal.
The question is this: What does the Bible tell us about current and future events in this world? For instance, Scripture speaks of the "beginning of sorrows" (Matthew 24:8) and offers guidance on how to navigate challenging times with faith and hope. What about life after this? Is there life after death? What is our purpose for living? What is your purpose?
